I like the fact that it delves more into the stories than the typical children's bible- and we really get a feel for what the bible is saying. Also, I appreciate the chronological order which helps the readers- kids esp. to understand the connection all the stories have to one another.
The one thing I don't like though is the lack of pictures. This would really help my kids stay focused as I read them the stories.
I hand out the typical children's bibles, mentioned above, which are so chock full of pictures yet lacking in substance, and the kids look at those pictures while I read from this book.
