Item Description...
Product Description The countries of the world have diverged sharply in their responses to the global recession. Some are unwavering in their pursuit of economic freedom, proven over decades to be the surest way to increase wealth and fight poverty. Others have turned away, seeking economic security through government programs or controls. Which path is better? The early results are in. The 2010 Index of Economic Freedom finds that countries that have held true to the principles of economic freedom are recovering more quickly, forging ahead in the global quest for prosperity. For others, their policies of government intervention and regulation have, so far at least, simply not worked.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Downright Impressive Apr 6, 2010 |
The Heritage Foundation is a conservative, first principles (think Declaration of Independence and Constitution) based "think tank." I am a proud supporter of theirs since I know that they are well respected and actually have an influence on the political scene. The typical purpose of their research is, of course, to promote their values of first principles but there are some research topics that are plainly objective, such as this book.
This book is phenomenal! I don't think many people would sit down and read this cover-to-cover but to have it as a reference would be very wise if you care to discuss economies at all, especially matter of taxation and government spending. Buy this book, pat yourself on the back and brace yourself for the mind blowing excitement when you receive it and begin to look through it. | | | Write your own review about 2010 Index of Economic Freedom
