Item Description...

God created his children as sexual opposites, and designed marriage to be the context of erotic pleasure.  While the church has been mostly silent on the subject of sex, the world and the devil have attempted to make it their domain.

The church has rightly proclaimed the biblical prohibitions on the misuse of sex, but it has failed to speak out on the godliness of erotic pleasure in the context of marriage.

Out of the 66 books composing the Bible, one whole book is dedicated to promoting erotic pleasure—the Song of Solomon.  Michael Pearl takes his readers through a refreshing journey of the Biblical texts.  This sanctifying look at the most powerful passion God ever created will free the reader from false guilt and inhibition.  Michael Pearl says, "It is time for Christian couples to take back this sacred ground and enjoy the holy gift of sexual pleasure."

This material is intended for mature audiences.  Don’t read this book unless you are married, have definite plans to be married in the next few weeks, or are an older teenager whose parents have first read it and approve of you doing so.

If you don’t think God meant for sex to be fun, this book is definitely for you!

Michael Pearl Wants Readers to Believe God created Sex in the Image of Worship  Sep 27, 2009
Michael Pearl is not the first to emphasize that God designed sex in marriage not only for reproduction, but also for the married couple's pleasure. This point is well-taken. However, for an author to teach that sex is worship or that God created sex in the image of worship is to teach occult doctrine, not biblical doctrine.

Michael Pearl of No Greater Joy Ministries is teaching Christians that marital erotic pleasure is as holy as purest worship:

"If you feel that erotic pleasure between a man and his wife is beneath the holiness of God, that it is not as high and holy as is purest worship, you are out of sync with God, and your conscience needs divine instruction." (Holy Sex pg 38)

Mr. Pearl wants you to believe God created erotic pleasure in the image of worship and that the Bible compares sex to worship:

"If you still haven't come to accept my stated conclusion, then tell me, what did God create that is in the image of worship if not erotic pleasure?" (Holy Sex pg. 55)

"If the only worship you have experienced has been ritualistic and structured, or if the only sex you have experienced is selfish and dirty, you will not be able to understand the analogy of erotic pleasure to worship, which God so clearly "pictures" in his inspired word." (Holy Sex pg. 55)

Michael Pearl would have his followers/donators believe that sex is as sacred as prayer:

"Can erotic pleasure be as sacred as prayer?" Can the sensual and the spiritual both be the creation of God, with equal standing?" (Holy Sex pg. 6)

MY REMARKS: Almost 100% of satanic and many witchcraft rituals require sex. Occultists, not Christians, regard sex as worship.

Holy Sex  Jul 8, 2009
I recommend this book to enhance your knowledge of the Bible and Sex. I was skeptical but I have to say that Mr. Pearl knows his Bible. I definitely recommend this book.

Get "Created to be his helpmeet" instead.  Jun 30, 2009
Their other book "Created to be his helpmeet" is wonderful but this one just mostly quoted the Song of Soloman.

Interesting and thought provoking  Mar 9, 2009
This book was very interesting and thought provoking. It pointed many Bible verses out and gave them a new meaning, deeper meaning. It's a short read, but a good one.

Enlightening  Feb 25, 2009
Michael Pearl in his very honest and open way has shed a lot of light on the book of Song of Solomon. I enjoyed the book thoroughly and could hardly wait for my husband to get home after I read it. :)
