Product Description
Marie Hablitzel, the wonderful teacher who developed the lessons in our top-selling Draw-Write-Now series, taught using these lessons for over 30 years! Her easy-to-follow drawing and writing lessons - which integrate art and language arts with geography, history, social studies, and science - will be enjoyed by generations of children thanks to Marie and her talented daughter, and coauthor, Kim Stitzer. Each 64-page book is full-color throughout. Each lesson includes step-by-step drawing instructions and four sentences that relate to the drawings. The lessons are wonderful springboards for research projects and creative writing activities, too! Each 64-page book includes 21 theme-related drawing and writing lessons. A wealth of factual information on each topic, questions to prompt discussion, recommended book lists and countless ideas to spark children's creativity and imaginations are also included in each book. The books can be used in any order. If you are working with children who need to develop confidence in their drawing skills we recommend starting with Book One -- it is the easiest book in the series. Book Five, our popular U.S. history book, has the most challenging lessons in the series.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Simple drawing lessons and great handwring practice!  Jan 19, 2000
My children love these books. The art lessons are very simple. I wish I could send you a copy the horse my 6 year old son drew. I've never drawn a horse so well! This from my son who cries " I don't know how to draw, mom!" You won't be sorry you bought this book. The format is very clear and simple and It shows how good penmanship is an art form. Pages are not cluttered. Extra Ideas spark a young artists creativity. These books are great for reference "Now how did I draw that boat?" Worth every dime.
